Course Overview
Safety and Environmental Management Systems (SEMS) provide the structured framework through which offshore oil & gas operations identify, manage, and continually reduce safety and environmental risk. Based on API RP 75 and international best practice, this course walks participants through every SEMS element – from hazards analysis and management of change to mechanical integrity, emergency response, and audit – and shows how to implement and sustain an effective SEMS program across offshore facilities.
Every simulator in this course opens with a mandatory Risk Assessment Gate — identify the hazards, set the controls, and confirm the residual risk before the “permit to simulate” is issued — and every scenario injects live condition changes that demand dynamic risk assessment and Stop Work decisions, exactly as the field does.
Interactive Training Games
Route eight advancing threats to the barriers that stop them, risk-ranking each — three breaches and containment is lost.
Replacement in kind or change requiring MOC? Decide on real cases.
Assign unlabeled situations to the SEMS element that owns them.
Order a compliant pre-startup safety review.
