Ship Recycling Management System
Ship recycling
ISO 30000 certification
The ISO 30000 compliance certification defines the management system requirements for ship recycling operations in order to verify the efficiency, security and environmental safety during its implementation.
The management system in accordance with ISO 30000 must be implemented and applied throughout the ship recycling facility, i.e. the area used by an organisation to dismantle and subsequently recover ships.
ISO 30000 applies to any ship recycling facility that intends to define, implement, maintain, and improve a secure and environmentally-friendly management system in accordance with its eco-sustainable management policy.
Technical Focus
ISO 30000 applies to the entire ship recycling process, namely:
- acceptance of a ship
- storage of materials and management of resulting waste
- assessment of any dangers present on board
- providing the necessary training
- guaranteed services for the staff (first aid, health checks, food and beverages)
- final disposal of the ship taking into account the above-mentioned criteria of efficiency, safety and sustainability.
Certification Procedure
- Compilation of USQC’s offer submission questionnaire and, upon its acceptance, the contract
- stage 1 audit, document verification
- stage 2 audit, in-depth audit of the company
- issuance of the certificate
- three-year assessment to maintain certification
What about the cost?
We have never inflated our fees with unnecessary costs, so what you pay for in your certification audit is the number of days needed to audit your operations. It’s individual for each company, depending on your size, operational complexity, and the standards you are looking to get certified to.
