Rigging & Slinging
Course Overview
This course provides riggers, slingers, and lifting personnel with the knowledge and practical skills required to plan and carry out safe rigging and slinging operations. Participants learn how to select, inspect, and use lifting accessories, calculate sling loads and angles, apply correct attachment methods, and communicate effectively with crane operators using standard hand and radio signals, in line with international lifting standards and ADNOC lifting requirements.
Every simulator in this course opens with a mandatory Risk Assessment Gate — identify the hazards, set the controls, and confirm the residual risk before the “permit to simulate” is issued — and every scenario injects live condition changes that demand dynamic risk assessment and Stop Work decisions, exactly as the field does.

What You Will Learn
- Identify the roles and responsibilities of rigging and lifting team members.

- Calculate load weights, centers of gravity, sling angles, and working load limits (WLL).
- Apply correct slinging methods, hitches, and load control techniques including tag lines.

Certification
Complete all lessons and pass the final examination (70%) to receive an accredited USQC certificate, verifiable online through the USQC Certificate Verification portal. Corporate packages are available based on the number of participants and training scope, aligned with UAE market standards.
