Written for the people who keep a language business conformant.
If you are responsible for quality inside a translation or localization operation, or you are preparing one for ISO certification or surveillance, this course gives you the auditor competence to find and close gaps before a client or a certification body does.
Quality & compliance managers
Own the management system and run the internal audit program with confidence.
Project & program leads
Audit the workflow you live in, from quotation through delivery and feedback.
Senior linguists & reviewers
Translate hands-on quality knowledge into evidence-based audit findings.
Vendor & resource managers
Qualify, monitor, and audit the linguists and suppliers your quality depends on.
Plan it, run it, report it, and prove it.
Every module moves from principle to practice. By the end you can carry an internal audit from planning to closed corrective action across all five standards.
The standards that define language-service quality.
The program treats these not as five separate audits but as one integrated management system, the way a modern LSP actually runs.
2015
Quality management
The foundation every other standard builds on, audited clause by clause for a service business.
2015
Translation services
Translator and reviewer competence, the revision requirement, and the full production process.
2017
Machine translation post-editing
Full versus light post-editing, post-editor competence, and MTPE workflow controls.
2024
Project specifications
Translation briefs, customer requirements, and the scope decisions made before work begins.
2024
Quality evaluation
Human evaluation of output, error categories, severity levels, and acceptance criteria.
Audit the shared backbone once.
All five standards sit on the same harmonized management-system structure. You learn the common clause set one time, then focus on the part that is specific to each standard.
Shared management-system clauses
Sixteen modules across four arcs.
From audit principles and the language industry, through clause-level training on each standard, into practice, and finishing with a full capstone mock audit.
A credential you earn, then verify.
1
Work through every module
Each module ends in a short quiz so the concepts are locked in before you move on.
2
Complete the capstone mock audit
Audit a full set of real artifacts: a translation project, an MTPE file, a vendor record, a translation memory, a termbase, an LQA report, and a complaint investigation.
3
Pass the final examination
Fifty questions across all modules. A score of 80% unlocks your certificate.
