DOT OFFERERS AND SHIPPERS

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This course reviews information based on the Pipeline & Hazardous Materials Safety Administration regulations as they relate to the awareness, handling, and shipping requirements of Hazardous Materials within the United States. The Hazardous Materials Regulations, also known as the HMR, form the core of this training.

Part one of this course will review employee training requirements, how to classify materials, shipping descriptions, specialized information, acceptable packaging, small and limited quantities, markins and placards, shipping papers, the hazardous waste manifest, loading and unloading of hazardous materials, incidents, as well as security and reporting processes.
